Description & Responsibilities

The Technology Innovation team builds features and products that empower UAM team members with best-in-class technology to deepen their relationships with customers, improve their workflow and efficiency, and expand their business.

As a Senior Application Developer, you will specialize in developing applications, software and customized programming. Utilizing advanced technologies.

Create flow charts that help write computer code. Software developers are the creative minds behind computer programs. Some develop the applications that allow people to do specific tasks on a computer or another device. Others develop the underlying systems that run the devices or that control networks.

Duties:

· Analyze users’ needs and then design, test, and develop software to meet those needs

· Recommend software upgrades for customers’ existing programs and systems

· Design each piece of an application or a system and plan how the pieces will work together

· Create a variety of models and diagrams (such as flowcharts) that instruct programmers how to write software code

· Ensure that a program continues to function normally through software maintenance and testing

· Document every aspect of an application or a system as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades

· Collaborate with other computer specialists to create optimum software

· Entire development process for a software program in collaboration with or without other team members

· Identify the core functionality that users need from software programs

· Determine user requirements that are unrelated to the functionality of software, such as the level of security and performance needs

· Design the program and then give instructions to programmers, who write computer code and test it

· Fix design process challenges and improve the programs

· Perform upgrades and maintenance of tech systems as needed

· Create custom software

· Create complex databases for intranet and internet usage

Qualifications & Experience

Required Education / Certification / Experience: (education a candidate MUST have to be considered for a position)

· Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline; OR the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work/military experience

· Experience working with third party APIs and RESTful APIs

· Knowledge in the area of graphics & software design

· Experience with reactive frameworks

· Knowledge of JavaScript, preferred familiarity with VueJs2

· Knowledge of Web standards and protocols, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS and HTTP

· Knowledge of HTML5/CSS

· Understanding of MVC architectures

· Experience with build scripts such as NPM, etc

· Familiarity with Node

· Experience working with third party APIs and RESTful APIs

· Knowledge in the area of graphics
