Principal Software Engineer

AutoDelegate is an AI-assisted communication app to convert business conversations to deals. Our product aims to help 30M professional service providers (e.g. realtors, loan officers, recruiters) to respond to their customer msgs faster and automatically take actions, as if they have hired a 24/7 digital assistant. It replaces the existing native iOS/Android messaging apps for the service providers and empowers them with a conversational AI engine. For now, we're focused in real estate market and are about to finalize our seed round. Our team of 10 is made of 5 engineers (former Microsoft, etc) and is scattered across North America. Cofounders are both ex-Googlers. COO is MIT graduate and technical CEO has prior unicorn experience.

We're looking for a Principal Engineer who's fluent in TypeScript and React. Knows how to work with gCP, Kafka, GraphQL, Postgres and has experience in using Twilio APIs. Frontend experience is very important for us. We have A-player designer in house and want to raise the bar on the engineering side. Candidate must have built professional apps in past and be able to speak about his code modularity as well as backend architecture. There's a big opportunity with NLP side as well if the candidate is interested. But this role is primarily focused on engineering side and less of science. Candidate will directly report to the CEO with a potential to move to tech lead -> manager -> head of engineering role very quickly.

We're generous with the equity and are looking for a candidate that is excited to join us building a unicorn in a very short time. Therefore prior big corp (FAANG) and unicorn experience really does matter. But more importantly we have a set of cultural values that we'd like to hold them strong: "bias for action", "brutal honesty", "optimizing for winning as a team" are a few to name. We don't have any hierarchy yet & plan to keep it flat for a while. Location is irrelevant (fully remote) but we work in Pacific Time Zone (majority of us are in Cali and WA state).
