The Role

avoMD is seeking an innovative and motivated Technical Product Manager who can own the technical side of building and coordinating the delivery of a large portfolio of technical projects by understanding business and technical requirements, managing changes, and communicating broadly across functions and teams.

The position can be remote and we are willing to offer competitive salary and equity compensation, in addition to generous benefits and PTO policies. We are looking for candidates who can start working immediately on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product team leader: Work directly with the founder and CTO, contribute to the product vision, and manage product roadmaps. Specific responsibilities include creating product documentation and feature requirements and translating them into technical specifications and technical user stories for development
  • Engineering & design collaboration: Help bring the product vision to life by working with the engineering and design teams to ensure that product requirements are translated into elegantly designed and built code.
  • Technical: Technical lead who is willing to design, develop, and implement software components across the entire software stack when necessary.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of software engineering experience working with agile product teams
  • Experience with front-end design and user experience prototyping
  • Ability to clearly define and build product requirements and understand how to translate those into clean, scalable, efficient code
  • Strong working proficiency and knowledge of React Native and React JS
  • Understanding of back-end technologies (we use Firebase and Django)
  • Ability to think and plan strategically around scaling processes and architecture
  • Comfortable managing a variable workload and taking ownership to get things done
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Notion, and other technology management tools for managing product roadmap and development tasks. Experience contributing and managing across the SDLC and QA/Quality teams preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bonus: Prior experience (i) at an early stage company and (ii) developing user-facing products
