i3D.net is growing fast! We’re looking for a hard working IT professional who is ready to grow with us!

The Opportunity

One of I3D.net’s many unique selling points is its own global low latency network (AS49544). Your job as Network Engineer within i3D.net is to both manage and build our ever-growing network. This is the place for you if you like a different challenge every day and to be surrounded by talented professionals.

We are a leading provider of high-performance, low-latency hosting through a vast, privately-owned global network. As game sector veterans, we know what it takes for a network to withstand heavy demands. During these uncertain times, we have continued to expand faster than ever, keeping some of the world’s biggest games and VoIP providers online, and their users connected.

As an i3D.net Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the global network of i3D.net and its internal servers. Primary work will be monitoring, maintaining, and upgrading the network. You will participate in or manage projects, while keeping your colleagues informed about their scope, status and effects. Your communication with customers and colleagues will be clear and professional. Since we have operations around the globe English fluency is a must; other language proficiencies are, of course, a plus.

i3D.net, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and a wholly-owned subsidiary of i3D.net BV — and since 2019 we have been a proud member of the Ubisoft family of companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuous improvement of knowledge based on network infrastructure and hardware
  • Replacing faulty network hardware components when required
  • Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made
  • Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems
  • Answer day-to-day network-related questions from customers and colleagues
  • Configuring and testing networking hardware and software
  • Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures
  • Spreading general security awareness among your colleagues
  • Actively participate in team meetings

Work Environment

As a Network Engineer, you will be part of our Network Infrastructure Operations group. The group consists of Network Architects, Network Engineers and System Engineers based in Rotterdam, Montreal, Paris, and Pasadena. I3D.net is not a typical 9 to 5 company — we grant our employees a lot of responsibility as well as a great deal of freedom. You will have the chance to work with the latest hardware and (after covid) to travel to places all around the world to do your job. Our principal place of business in the United States is in right in the heart of Old Town Pasadena, California. This will be your home base and offers a small, collegial environment.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a (similar) network infrastructure related company

  • Good understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
  • Experience with Juniper (MX/QFX/EX/SRX)
  • Juniper certification is a plus
  • Experience with MPLS is a plus
