HIA is a tech startup based in Pasadena, CA that has developed a one-of-a-kind DIGITAL HUMAN technology with the goal to transform the way healthcare providers automate their routine conversations with their patients and employees. HIA has built tools that allow artificially intelligent and highly interactive on-screen digital assistants to conduct sophisticated conversations with large numbers of people simultaneously; ask and answer questions; and collect data on the interactions.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a creative, experienced, and organized Content Manager with impeccable written and verbal communications skills, and a background in conversational UX to join our growing team. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead HIA’s efforts in creating new conversational sessions that will be part of HIA’s content library focused primarily in patient education and engagement. You will script the engaging dialogs for our digital characters that bring them to life and perform highly intelligent and visual conversations with users. You will form and manage a team if internal and external authors that will create all such content in scale.
Successful candidates will be adept at juggling multiple projects, will feel comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders, and will be able to think strategically while also being detailed oriented. Candidates must have exceptional organizational skills and enjoys iterating with clients with the goal to build immersive content. Possessing a strong drive to ever improve our interactive experience is mission critical.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and maintain highly-interactive educational content for various healthcare specialties in partnership with providers
- Build and manage a team of in-house and outside content developers
- Manage all creator intake and updates
- Design highly visual and conversational presentations
- Manage user testing and reporting
- Create and maintain a high-quality content library
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on product definition, engineering and marketing initiatives.
- Provide thought leadership to define and continuously refine a future-proof system for content development; evangelize best practices.
- Drive strategic partnerships with companies that enrich HIA’s content library, including stock content providers and LMS systems
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Psychology, Marketing or relevant liberal arts.
- 3+ years of experience in creative writing and/or linguistics.
- Proven experience in creating compelling professional presentations (e.g. PowerPoint).
- Exceptionally strong organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail.
- Self-starter with strong drive; comfortable in a greenfield start-up environment.
- Unquestioned personal and professional integrity.
Preferred / Highly Desirable:
- Background in healthcare.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Linguistics, Information Sciences Human Factors, Social Sciences, and/or Public Health – or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years proven work experience as a Content Writer or User Experience Designer within a product focused organization.
- 1+ year(s) of experience designing voice or text-based conversational experiences via chatbot frameworks such as Microsoft LUIS, IBM Watson Conversation and Google DialogFlow.
- Experience with interactive storytelling.
- A solid understanding of and appreciation for branding.
- Ability to read and write fluent Spanish.
