Director of Engineering

Our client is seeking a hands-on Director of Engineering to join their tight-knit management team and help shape the future of the company. Reporting to the CEO, this key individual will lead and manage the engineering team responsible for their entire suite of B2B SaaS products.
You will be a key member of the executive team, and must be a hands-on technical leader, capable of managing infrastructure as well as contributing to the design and delivering products on time to multiple customers in multiple vertical markets.

Job Requirements / Qualifications
They are seeking a dynamic engineering leader who has managed teams of various sizes in both startups and established companies across multiple geographies.
The qualifications include:

• BSCS/EE or MSCS/EE (a plus) or commensurate experience
• 7+ years of direct experience in software engineering and 3+ years in engineering management
• Strong leader with track record of building and managing teams and motivating technical personnel
• Excellent knowledge and programming skills in PHP (due to legacy code)
• Experience working with off-shore and geographically-distributed on-shore teams
• Proven track record managing development and hosting of software products in AWS
• Experience leading technical operations (DevOps, Infrastructure, CI/CD) teams
• Experience with Agile software development (e.g. scrum, Kanban)
• Prior development experience of complex workflow software
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
