Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our equities automated trading team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing complex Python solutions. As Software Engineer your projects will focus on trade data modeling, trade analysis products and quantitative research. You will help junior developers with code review and will be expected to participate actively in design meetings and give guidance on software architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of our systems, business processes, and underlying software architecture

• Accountable for all assigned projects timely and successful completion

• Actively participate in complex projects related to trade research

• Lead the code review process and assist leads in developing strong architecture

• Engage in trade strategy discussions and learn about our trade operations

• Ability to independently execute on quantitative analysis projects

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in software development (preferably in Python)
• Strong fundamentals of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns

• Understanding of OOP methodologies and design patterns

• Core development skills - understanding of C++ & Python programming languages

• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

• Skilled with the PyData Stack (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib)

• Experience working with databases

• GUI programming experience a plus

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical abilities

• Real interest in the automated trading industry and financial markets

• Comfortable using Linux preferred
