Web Developer

Steel Supplements Inc seeks a Web Developer with experience in front end, backend, HTML / CSS, JavaScript, UI/UX, and application integrations within Shopify. The successful candidate should have an intimate understanding of how our website functions from all aspects, especially within an e-commerce based company. We work in a fast-paced environment, so the ideal Developer will be able to hit the ground running as soon as they are brought on board and educated accordingly about the brand. Applicants with 3 years experience leading e-commerce brand(s) and creating strategic UI/UX with proper optimization, will be given prime consideration.

Essential Functions:

• Serve as the full developer of a fast-growing startup company, Providing support in the area of increasing conversion rate, user experience, and day-to-day management.
• Continuously measure and optimize website performance while also establishing benchmarks and recommending future tests.

• Work closely with Marketing, Operations and Client Service teams on upcoming campaigns and launches. Assist in creating innovative user experiences throughout the process.

• Attend meetings on a regular basis to provide updates on new methods and be updated on upcoming projects.

Work Environment:

• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel:

• This position does not require travel

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science or equivalent field) or 3 Years of Relevant Experience
• Minimum of 1 year experience working within the Shopify platform, including knowledge of Slate / Theme kit or similar. 2+ years working with modern technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3 experience
• 2+ years of experience working with Liquid, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX as necessary
• Knowledge of Shopify Ajax API a plus, as well as experience configuring third-party apps Superb troubleshooting and debugging skills perks!

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Experience with Shopify and WordPress.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, Version Control and JavaScript.
