THE ROLE:

We are looking for a highly creative and intuitive UI/UX Designer who has a keen eye for compelling design and the technical prowess to deliver high quality interfaces and interactions for existing and future IBISWorld enterprise products.

This individual will work with a range of stakeholders to execute a variety of projects related to existing and future IBISWorld and ProcurementIQ products, working particularly closely with the product development, marketing, and IT teams. The successful designer will be detail-oriented, empathetic, pragmatic, a clear communicator, and have a demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure and with competing deadlines.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Work with Product Manager to provide research and design assets based on project and ad-hoc business needs
  • Help translate business requirements, user needs, and technical requirements into effective, audience-centric designs
  • Work closely with developers to ensure products and enhancements match approved specs before market release
  • Maintain and update IBISWorld’s Design System
  • Create wireframes, low-fidelity and high-fidelity concepts and designs in Figma based on business and client needs
  • Communicate and document research, design audits, concepts, findings and functionality
  • Support the Product Manager and SVP Product with discovery and research of new ideas
  • Work closely with global Product, Marketing and IT teams to collaborate and deliver work
  • Iterate existing client interfaces and experiences (either your own or others’)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent, , technology or related field
  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in wire-framing, designing and prototyping solutions
  • Strong working knowledge of design software, including: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of best practice interface design and graphic design principles
  • Deadline oriented while also possessing the flexibility to effectively deal with unexpected assignments or changes to workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, especially with stakeholders who often have limited technical/design knowledge
  • Solid understanding of commercial development processes and the ability to be self-driven and motivated in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Preferred understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript coding knowledge to ensure a strong working relationship development team
  • Experience and/or familiarity with industry, business, finance and economic concepts
