Mission:

The Mission of the Senior 3D Graphics Engineer is to work with the various 3D formats, architect an automated pipeline for 3D model conversion/shading and cross-platform consumption, design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for VNTANA Cloud Platform. There will be a fair amount of 3D mathematics/geometry and programming involved. The person in this position must foster teamwork and a spirit of collaboration among team members across departments. This role has some late nights and weekends required dependent on project deadlines. This position will report directly to the EVP of Engineering.

Minimum Requirements:

  • In-depth experience with software development and programming fundamentals knowledge.
  • Vertex and Fragment shaders.
  • General-purpose algorithms and data structures.
  • General-purpose algorithms in geometry processing.
  • Experience with the latest 3D formats.
  • Production experience in either WebGL / OpenGL / OpenGL ES / Vulkan / DirectX
  • JavaScript & C++ proficiency.
  • Ability to provide both pre-built graphics demos and the source code for them.

Any of the following are bonuses:

  • Knowledge of various server-side and front-end scripting languages.
  • Understanding of Rest APIs
  • Knowledge in mesh processing techniques
  • Knowledge of the texture backing stack
  • Experience in ray tracing

Specific Measures of Success:

  • 95% of code does not require fixes after deployment.
  • At least a 7/10 rating from team members in quarterly 360 reviews.
  • 7/10 code review rating measured by “code cleanness”, “generalized and extensible code”, “no refactoring required” categories.
  • 95% of deployed features are always optimized for faster load time light on memory load.
