About the Position

The ideal person will be responsible for software solutions in many facets of the organization, including Fiserv DNA core application stack and ancillary applications. The Enterprise Application Analyst will work directly with the business units, vendors and MIS teams to install, update, customize, diagnose and monitor on premise and hosted enterprise solutions.

Normal Day-to-Day Work

  1. - Evaluate new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications ensuring alignment to organizational objectives and business unit needs. Make research-backed suggestions on areas that could be improved upon.
  2. - Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
  3. - Lead supporting business subject matter experts and business system analysts in understanding the technical solution to the business requirements throughout the development, testing and implementation phases of new projects.
  4. - Validate that newly developed functionality meets the technical requirements and does not break existing functionality.
  5. - Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
  6. - Review and analyze existing enterprise applications and related systems for effectiveness and efficiency, including DR, load balancing and system availability (99.99%). Develop strategies for improving these systems and work with relevant MIS teams to deliver on these strategies.
  7. - Perform application tuning, configuration, monitoring and administration for {major apps related to position}
  8. - Plan, manage and implement new enterprise software solutions and integrations. Plan and coordinate testing of changes, upgrades, patches, new releases and new services.
  9. - Maintain system documentation, including various environments (production, test, dev, etc.) and maintenance schedules.
  10. - Develop and manage working relationships with customers to acquire a sense of their information technology needs and develop a more in-depth knowledge of their business and processes.
  11. - Manage vendor relationships including but not limited to account managers, operations managers and technical support.
  12. - Develop an in-depth understanding of all policies, procedures, standards, and operating processes associated with information technology areas.
  13. - Critical response to financial systems availability, making business decisions on member/employee experience and software/hardware solutions to improve the infrastructure.
  14. - Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices.
  15. - Provide Tier 3 support for enterprise systems and applications. Work with junior application analysts to train on handling Tier 2 and 3 issues.
  16. - Develop, distribute, and coordinate in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications.

Job Qualifications

Here are a few skills you MUST have to be considered for this position.

  1. - Minimum 7 years in enterprise application support or systems administration.
  2. - Minimum 4 years of experience in Information Technology in an academic and/or professional setting.
  3. - Understanding of core Microsoft product stack, including Windows Server 2012/2016, Windows Workstation, Office Suite, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policies, and IIS.
  4. - Self-motivated with ability to drive projects. Able to exercise independent judgement and take appropriate action on it.
  5. Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment.
  6. - Strong technical acumen, with an ability to interpret and translate impacts, risks, and gaps with both technical and non-technical staff.
  7. - Fundamental understanding of three-tier application architecture.
  8. - Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
  9. - Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. (file boxes, computer printer).
  10. - Minimal travel required and must be able to work flexible hours and weekends.

  1. - BA/BS Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  2. - Familiarity with Fiserv DNA core application stack, Automic, Velocity, Nautilus OnBase ECM, Compliance One, SQL Developer or TOAD, PCFS
  3. - Experience with scripting (XML, Xpath, Batch, PERL, SQL, PowerShell)
  4. - Motivated towards constantly improving technical skills.
  5. - Previous experience in credit unions or other financial institutions.
