Job Description

Unbridled is looking for a Dev Team Director. Candidates must submit a digital portfolio in addition to their application to be considered.

What you would be doing at Unbridled:

• Provides oversight and direction for Unbridled’s web and application development team
• Serves as product owner and operational manager for the development of enterprise web applications designed to provide customizable event tech solutions for Unbridled’s clients
• Improve and maintain rapid scalability of all development team deliverables
• Collaborates with Partners and stakeholders to prioritize the road-map and champions the features which will provide the most internal and external value
• Support Project Manager and Planners, working collaboratively across teams to ensure seamless integration of dev deliverables into overall project workflow
• Offers guidance to the team during design, development, and testing phases and holds accountability for the overall solution
• Provide strategic consulting and capabilities research for Dev Team deliverables as needed
• Stay current on new technologies and industry trends in the event tech space and champion Unbridled’s unique POV on event technology
• Oversee maintenance of platform infrastructure and security standards across solutions
• Recruit, hire and train talented team members and interns
• Equips Dev Team members with knowledge of best practices, on-the-job training, realtime support for programming challenges, and partnered mentorship
• Ensures that all Dev Team members are growing and thriving in their roles with clear career growth trajectories
• Must embody the Unbridled brand and culture, including: character, change, credibility, and community
  

Successful candidates will have the following:

• Senior Level: 5+ years of experience in web application development
• 3+ years of experience as web product owner
• Knowledgeable in modern web architectures and development, responsive web design, native mobile development, performance optimization, SEO, and analytics
• Strong web programming background, preferably in both Node.js and WordPress web application development
• Strong proficiency in code versioning tools (e.g., Git / GitHub) and team-based code collaboration best practices
• Experience leading diverse teams of developers, designers, IT specialists, project managers, etc.
• Excellent communication skills both within the internal team as well as client facing
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, be flexible, & meet strict deadlines
• Strong learner’s spirit and eagerness to learn new technologies for new problems
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Ability to offer realtime web development training and consulting via strong, diverse background in web application development, particularly in LAMP stack development (e.g., WordPress plugins), Node.js development (i.e., React, Angular, Express, Socket.io, etc.), and web services & API integrations
• Familiarity with web hosting environments, including maintenance & security best practices, performance optimization, bandwidth & storage solutions, disaster recovery preparedness, scalable server solutions, DevOps frameworks, and the like
• Familiarity with the live and/or virtual event industry
