JOB DESCRIPTION
Idaho Power — headquartered in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for an experienced System Administrator II to join our technology team. What does a System Administrator II – SharePoint & O365 Administrator do at Idaho Power? This position will manage the design, architecture, reliability, performance, availability and security of SharePoint and O365 systems. You will be responsible for administering and supporting all on-premise and online needs while playing a crucial role in developing strategies to achieve optimal use of these systems companywide. This position also provides technical support for problems that are not resolved by the IT Operations Center or IT Service Desk. You will be our guide in Idaho Power’s journey to SharePoint online and help champion user adoption within the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Advanced Knowledge & Experience in:

  • Architecting and supporting on-premise SharePoint farms
  • Architecting and supporting SharePoint Online
  • Administering and supporting O365 including:
    • Microsoft Identity
    • Exchange Online
    • Teams
    • OneDrive
    • Power BI
    • Power Apps
    • Stream
  • PowerShell automation and scripting

Preferred:

  • Metalogix, Nintex Workflows, Nintex Forms, PowerApps
  • Cloud computing service models: SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
  • Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud
  • DevOps Methodology & Tools: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Git, Azure DevOps, etc.

Skills in:

  • Problem solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Verbal and written communication, including effective listening and follow-up
  • Planning and organizing
  • Documenting technical procedures

Preferred:

  • Project management, leadership, mentoring, and training skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in CIS (computer information systems) or equivalent field

OR

  • A combination of relevant education and experience

Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional IT experience

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This position will have a more in-depth technical knowledge in own discipline. The position will have more experience with project management skills and be proficient with time management being able to manage multiple projects at once. The position should have a college degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
