ABOUT NINURTA
Ninurta is a seed-stage personal medical device company that has patented a breakthrough technology that uses modest electrical currents to detect over 65 common ailments, from depression & anxiety to kidney disease to coronary heart disease. Ninurta is in the process of raising a Series-A to finalize the design and initial manufacturing of the diagnostic device itself, as well as the software app and other key go-to-market assets to launch to the public. This venture is uniquely positioned to disrupt a multi-billion dollar medical diagnostics industry, and create a category-defining handheld screening device & subscription model.
DIRECTOR OF PRODUCT
We are looking for an exceptional Director of Product to drive the design & creation of Ninurta’s product ecosystem. As a founding member of the team, and the company’s first product owner, you will be both a strategist and a do-er, setting the vision and spearheading innovation. You will fundamentally shape Ninurta’s product, as well as the company itself.
The Director of Product role can be remote for the first few months, but will ultimately be based in New York City.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
As the Director of Product, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Own the v1 product strategy and execution.
- Work with Ninurta’s CEO to define the product vision and develop a short term and long term roadmap to execute on. Leverage both qualitative and quantitative research approaches to inform the product strategy and execution.
- Staff and oversee a team of partners in hardware design/engineering and product manufacturing.
- Build and lead a team that can successfully deliver on the product vision. Identify and hire engineering, design and product management resources that can help you build a breakthrough product experience. Define project communication and collaboration routines across these teams to ensure efficiencies around builds.
- Outline the staffing plan for Ninurta’s product team, defining a learning agenda and KPIs to measure success.
- Own the MVP-build of the Ninurta app.
- Champion the MVP concept and work towards product-market fit with market feedback validation (using concept testing, analytics, A/B testing, surveys, and more).
- Understand and act as the voice of the user in strategic discussions.
- Work collaboratively with users to understand product needs, and iterate accordingly. Leverage surveys, in-depth interviews, observational studies, and more as needed.
- Serve as a thought leader for Ninurta’s leadership team and stakeholders.
- As the product visionary, you’ll communicate thinking, reasoning and project status clearly, on all progress, setbacks, and tradeoffs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- You love designing and iterating product experiences that delight the user.
- You have shipped at least 3 products in a consumer context.
- You have owned aspects of the product workflow for a product used by at least 10,000 people.
- You have experience in, exposure to, or strong passion for, the consumer health industry.
- You have experience in, or exposure to, hardware products as well as software products; ideally you have worked on hybrid physical/digital product experiences. Experience with direct-to-consumer products is a plus.
- You have great user instincts, with experience in multiple user research methodologies.
- You are well versed in data-informed decision-making, and the ability to problem-solve with and without perfect information.
- You know that the way to build an amazing product is to hear and consider ideas from everywhere - most especially from users.
BENEFITS
- True ownership over your work, and leadership in an early-stage company.
- Competitive compensation and equity.
- Medical, dental, and vision.
- Wide flexibility and autonomy in how, where, and when you do your work, including generous vacation policy.
- Further benefits (e.g. 401K, etc) to be added without delay, as the team grows & Series-A is raised, etc.
