The City of Overland Park has an exciting job opportunity for a Fleet Program Analyst position in the Fleet Maintenance Division of the Public Works department. Responsibilities: Performs professional level research and analytical assessment of fleet management data. Serves as the primary management support to the Public Works Maintenance Division, providing statistical information, determining patterns and trends in fleet management work tasks, and identifying improvement opportunities. Evaluates fleet management procedures, policies, systems and outcome metrics as assigned. Defines, compiles and evaluates data of varying complexity to develop professionally prepared informational reports and recommendations on fleet management best practices. Under general supervision, leads the development of data analytic strategies and informational reporting that will provide timely and relevant information related to managing fleet ownership and service costs, vehicle replacement scheduling, staff work efficiencies and overall effective fleet management outcomes. Provides administrative oversight of fleet data files including the collection and recording of electronic data into a computerized asset management system. Maintains proficiency in the use of assigned fleet management software. Assist as assigned to implement software use procedures and data input processes, install software upgrades and conduct user training. Participates in the work to respond to city emergencies such as street snow plowing as able per the position’s skill and certification requirements. Requirements: High school diploma with at least 2 years of secondary education in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Possession of a valid Class B driver’s license with air brake and tanker endorsement required within 12 months of hire. Must maintain an insurable driving record. Two years of experience in any of the following: data analysis, research, technical report writing, process flow analysis, statistical analysis, and/or work productivity analysis/performance metrics analysis. Computer experience working with data analytics programs, work management programs, geographic information systems, and/or work management programs. Experience performing the above duties in a fleet management environment is desirable. No City residency requirement. Must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam. 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Mon-Fri. $3,896-$4,869/mo. Open until filled.
