The Full Stack Web Developer will work within the marketing team to build responsive front-end experiences that enhance our search engine rankings and engage visitors and convert them to leads or customers. This position will work with our lead web developer to build and maintain company websites including IBISWorld.com (and other local IBISWorld domains) and ProcurementIQ.com. The ideal candidate is an experienced front-end technologist who values the customer journey and takes responsibility for a great user experience.
This role also requires working effectively with the Marketing team, including our content team, design team, marketing operations and the broader IT development team, so strong communication and collaborative skills are must.
Key Duties
- Translate high-fidelity designs into high performing, responsive website interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript; work with design team to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Implement both front-end and back-end web applications
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software across the stack
- Building web sites (applications) by utilizing MVC (Model View Controller), Web Services and REST API technologies with JSON, XML, SOAP or custom data formats
- Build customer-focused ecommerce experiences that tightly integrate with our back-end
- Contribute to a collaborative marketing team – including developers, content strategists and writers, analysts and designers – to build responsive front-end experiences that engage visitors and convert them to customers and enhance our search engine ranking.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through architectural input; debug issues that arise with our website performance and find creative solutions to issues.
- Research and evaluate the latest development technologies (including open source libraries and 3rd party products) for inclusion in the development process. Maintain software documentation.

Key Competencies
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2 – 3+ years of experience in web development role
- Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages like HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Knowledge and experience in web front end technologies (i.e. React, Gatsby, Angular)
- Integrations and customization with central management systems (i.e. CMS and CRM)
- Develop and integrate web applications and sites with version control systems i.e. Azure DevOps, Git, SVN.
- Experience utilizing APIs for web development, including XML, JSON, RESTful services
- Experience maintaining and customizing industry utilized CMSs such as Umbraco, WordPress and Drupal etc. Preferably experience with headless CMS like Contentful
- Experience with AWS or Azure (or comparable cloud environments)
- Development experience working with ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core / VB.NET / C# using Visual Studio 2017-2019
- Experience with SQL Server 2008 and higher (understand Triggers, Store procs, etc.)
- Knowledge of software development using Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of on-site SEO best practices; experience with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager a plus
- Natural affinity for website UX/UI and strong knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first development
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; commercial mindset
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines
- Flexibility to effectively deal with unexpected assignments, changes to workload or design revisions mid-project based on management priorities or client requests
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, especially with stakeholders who often have limited technical knowledge
- Ability to work with others, as well as independently and autonomously with minimal supervision
