Amazfit answers “what’s next?” for the future of wearables and fitness tech

The way we interact with technology, especially with wearable technology, is changing rapidly. Today, wearable technology has unlocked an endless number of possibilities as the landscape has developed far beyond the earliest wearable products. The advent of disruptive innovations in the wearable technology industry has transformed our lives, but what’s next?

Amazfit has the answer. As one of the world’s largest wearables companies, it will move the wearable revolution forward with a series of new products it launched yesterday at CES 2020 in Las Vegas.

Amazfit’s previous smartwatches (Amazfit GTR, Amazfit Stratos 3, Amazfit GTS and Amazfit Bip) have helped the company gain global recognition since 2015 through winning international awards like the IFA Product Technical Innovation Award, the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Product Design Award, the Good Design Award and the Most Noteworthy Smart Wearable Innovation Enterprise by IDG.

Amazfit announced two new smartwatches at CES 2020 they believe will significantly advance wearables further without sacrificing style or functionality.

The Amazfit T-Rex is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, boasting a tough US military-certified body, AMOLED display, highly-accurate GPS and up to 20 days of battery life.

The Amazfit Bip S is colorful, cost-effective, and oriented around healthy living. It boasts up to 30 days of battery life, is water resistant up to 50m (5 ATM), and comes with the Huami-PAI health assessment system, which is the first scientifically proven activity metric to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Amazfit also launched its first True Wireless Stereo (TWS) headset, the Amazfit PowerBuds, and its first sleep aid earplug, the Amazfit ZenBuds. These two high-end earbuds offer both superb sound quality and health-related features.

The Amazfit PowerBuds are equipped with Huami’s PPG sensor for heart rate monitoring and electronic dual-microphone noise canceling to ensure high-quality sound during calls. They also come with magnetic sport ear hooks that make for a comfortable fit while exercising and are IP55 water-resistant.

The Amazfit ZenBuds are a pair of light, compact and comfortable sleeping-aid earbuds. They feature a noise-blocking in-ear design and provide a precise sleep quality analysis and heart rate monitoring reports.

Amazfit also presented two next-generation treadmills: Amazfit HomeStudio and AirRun, which will change the landscape of home exercising equipment. The Amazfit HomeStudio provides a smart gym hub with an immersive 43-inch HD screen that offers on-demand classes with fresh content uploaded daily. This 1080p HD screen also comes with a high-end slat belt treadmill equipped with bilateral training bars and JBL surround sound speakers to provide an immersive boutique fitness experience.

The Amazfit AirRun is a minimalistic yet powerful foldable treadmill with a wide 130×50 cm running deck. It is also equipped with JBL surround speakers and provides a variety of running programs.

Both the Amazfit HomeStudio and AirRun can be linked to Amazfit smartwatches for a more seamless fitness experience.

Embodying the perfect blend of advanced technology, stylish design, as well as health and fitness features, the latest Amazfit products go beyond conventions to further unlock the possibilities of next generation wearables, which enable diverse real-life applications for consumers.

With the new suite of Amazfit products, Huami envisions building a foundation and ecosystem of wearables, empowering consumers to enjoy their health and to leap over limits. Recognizing the growing potential and consumer demand in the health and fitness industry, Huami strategizes beyond the next decade, turning to a holistic approach to build an evolving ecosystem of wearables for health and fitness management that leverages its expertise in wearables, AI chip technology and cloud-based services.

2020 is set to be an exciting year for Amazfit, and the landscape of ecosystem-based technologies, ushering in a more connected and diverse wearable experience for consumers.
