Make valued contributions to an organization dedicated to improving the public realm by using your knowledge of systems, project management and technology to empower your colleagues and provide the organization with the right tools to pursue its mission.

At the Alliance for Downtown New York you’d be working on projects ranging from helping manage a Salesforce database to maintaining a large scale public Wi-Fi program to being a key liaison with our IT vendor to keeping major projects like a web redesign on time and on budget and more. We are looking for a tech savvy, people person who enjoys making an organization work smarter and gets a kick out of helping others take full advantage of the digital age. In short, a service orientation along with a desire to stay on top of emerging technology trends and skills will serve an applicant well. The Manager of Technology Projects will report directly to and support the Chief Technology Officer in every facet of his role to help keep the Downtown Alliance and Lower Manhattan technologically forward thinking. Responsibilities include:

  • Technology Projects: This role will support all major projects such as upgrading/expanding Wi-Fi in district, changing vendors, website redesign and more. Primarily involves tracking progress and coordinating with internal/external constituents.
  • Internal Advisory Role: Support technology initiatives including Salesforce, working with departments to improve processes, recommend new tech resources for employees, recommend new tech resources for employees, tech troubleshooting and assistance on all internal technology projects.
  • Online Communications: Assist in website and mobile app projects including Google Analytics and Adwords and other measuring tools.
  • Technology Education and Research: Promote the technology education of employees by assisting in training and regular emails/newsletters. Research new technologies, new applications, and new projects, etc.
  • Multimedia/Content Management: This role will be vital to ensuring our content is easily indexed and searchable by adding metadata and organization and uploading documents, photos and videos.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • High level of comfort using technology whether it is hardware/software/handhelds/tablets, etc.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collegial instincts.
  • A customer service orientation is valued.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Knowledge of Campaign Monitor, FormAssembly, Workato or similar applications a plus.
