OVERVIEW

PayCafe is actively seeking a qualified Software Developer to join our team in Sherman Oaks, CA.

PayCafe is an all-in-one e-commerce solution that helps businesses of all sizes, from small to large enterprises sell online and manage payments to help maximize business opportunities and revenue growth.

We are searching for a passionate and talented LAMP developer who is experienced in building highly scalable websites and applications utilizing PHP and MySQL, ideally for a company in the financial / "Fintech" industry. Must have experience at high traffic or consumer-facing, content or e-commerce Web company. The successful candidate will be a productive LAMP engineer with a can-do and get-it-done attitude.

Primary Responsibilities

• Modeling and implementing multi-tiered applications, applying background and understanding of web and database programming, including multi-tiered application architecture and development for advanced web technologies.
• Create and maintain the high-quality architecture and design documents including feature specifications, design specifications, flow diagrams, site maps, and process diagrams
• Collaborate on software roadmap
• Interface with customer and internal teams to gather requirements and develop software solutions
• Develop technical design requirements & estimates
• See design requirements from concept through to completion (develop, document, test, deploy, and debug)
• Participate in all types of testing; conduct unit tests, stress tests, and tune performance
• Manages one-off projects

Requirements:

• Academic background in computer science (BS), engineering, mathematics or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years’ experience minimum with PHP
• Applied knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel)
• Knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON and WSDL’s.
• Expertise with Object-Oriented Design Principles & MVC concepts
• Expertise with relational database design and database interaction approaches
• Experience with modern JavaScript/JQuery/AJAX
• Knowledge of code-deployment workflows and repository tools (e.g.: Git, SVN.)
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Must be able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills; is able to explain technical topics in simple terms.

• Linux shell scripting / Command-line Experience

Salary:

• $80,000 - $100,000+
