NetVirta is a fast-growing, venture-backed, software start-up in the emerging field of 3D scanning and computer vision. Founded by two MIT graduates, and located in the heart of Boston, we offer a precision 3D body scanning mobile app and technology platform that enables brands to seamlessly offer their customer’s a personalized shopping experience, either through suggesting the best fitting apparel/footwear, or offering custom-fit products.

We work with companies across a wide variety of industries and applications NetVirta’s mission is to help brands and retailers usher in the next generation of customization and personalization during the buying experience.

We are seeking an ambitious self-starter to drive business development initiatives with leading brands and retailers, to enhance the reach and revenue of our platform. This individual’s main responsibilities will be to determine applications that are a good fit for our platform, and pursue relationships and strategic partnerships with leading companies in those markets and industries. While the primary focus will be business development, this position will also involve working with potential customers to develop and translate business and user requirements to enable integration of our customized 3D scanning platform. This will be a cross-functional role, reporting directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Growth and Customer Acquisition: Use a systematic approach to generate and maintain a pipeline of new partnership opportunities designed to drive reach and revenue for our platform. Through marketing research and direct meetings with potential partners, understand their strategy, key decision-makers, organizational structure, and go-to-market focus.
  • Partnerships: Facilitate high-level demonstrations of NetVirta’s solution to prospects to illustrate key functionality and product value. Establish deep relationships with potential strategic partners and convert into paying customers.
  • Product Development: Understand business/user requirements of potential partners and translate those into specifications for external feedback and the internal software development team.
  • Deal Closing: Support and eventually lead deal-making process, including qualification, structuring, negotiating, and closing.
  • Post Deal: Maintain and manage partnerships after deal closing, further drive adoption, revenue, and customer acquisitions.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with people across all levels and organizations internally and externally.
  • Technical ability to understand software and recognize areas of product integration, discuss product roadmaps, and engage with product managers.
  • Exceptional oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Resourceful, results-driven, self-starter, quick learner, able to work with discipline and focus with limited direct supervision.
  • Can handle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent at teamwork and cross group collaboration.
  • Passionate about technology and startups.
  • Loves to travel.

Preferred Traits

  • BS in science/engineering preferred
  • MS in business preferred, MBA is a plus.
  • 3 years’ experience working in startups, technology related business development, strategy or IT consulting, sales.
  • Product marketing background a plus.
  • Technically savvy, experienced with the 3D scanning, CAD/CAM, computer vision, APIs/SDKs, or software development, or excited to learn about these fields.
