SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Job Description:

We are a high growth company seeking a passionate software engineer to build and maintain mission critical enterprise applications for our business. Required Functions:

• Analyzes business requirements documents and creates technical specifications
• Writes and debugs high quality code for enterprise applications
• Plans and conducts unit and integration testing
• Participates in code walkthroughs
• Demonstrates solutions for business analysts
• Refactors code for optimal efficiency and maintainability
• Conducts triage of production support issues and identifies solutions
• Works with agile teams including developers, business analysts and quality analysts
• Seeks continuous improvement in development methods, tools and practices

Skills:

• Strong skills in writing SQL queries and data scripts are required
• Solid skills in writing JavaScript are required
• Exposure to JQuery and HTML/CSS is required
• Experience with developing web applications in .NET is a plus
• Experience with testing tools such as Selenium is a plus
• Experience with Java or Python is a plus

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems or related degrees
• 2+ years of experience with any programming language
• Insurance or financial services industry experience is a plus
• Previous experience in maintaining enterprise level systems is a big plus
