Job Summary:
In a career as a Senior Vice President of Development and Marketing, you will be responsible for the planning, development, and execution of the organization’s fundraising, stewardship and communication of Boys Town’s different family and hospital services.

Responsibilities:

  • Generates significant impact through strategic and tactical direction over Development and Marketing.
  • Fosters a culture of “One Boys Town” and carries out Boys Town Mission through, leadership, trust, honest and open dialogues, transparency, and embracing diversity.
  • Aligns Development and Marketing organizations to support service delivery in an effective manner and quality manner within your appropriate decision latitude.
  • Drives awareness of the Boys Town mission to those in need of services
  • Collaborates with Service Delivery partners to provide support that meets market/service demands.
  • Creates professional relationships based upon mutual respect, accountability, and Boys Town’s mission.
  • Creates and develops national, regional, and local campaigns for stewardship and fundraising.
  • Catalogs issues and develops a process and cadence for regular prioritization to reflect “One Boys Town”.
  • Develop a set of consistent metrics to measure project and performance effectiveness.
  • Identifies and articulates talent gaps, succession plans, spans of control, and titling.
  • Drives strategy and represents the organization on a national, regional, and local basis; translates strategic and tactical business plans into operational blueprints that support organizational goals.
  • Develops and executes business plans focused on the “One Boys Town” mission, taking into account the values and principles of Boys Town and regulatory compliance.
  • Develops and implements short and long term plans, budgets and reporting to document outcomes.
  • Provides outstanding leadership and communicates effectively across the organization and with senior management to achieve goals.
  • Attracts, develops and leads high-performing team members, empowering them to excel in their jobs.
  • Develops and directs avenues of strategic communications. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
  • 12 to 15 years of relevant development experience including marketing, communications.
  • Available to travel as needed.


About the Village of Boys Town: 
A National Historic Landmark since 1985, the Village of Boys Town is now the only National Historic Landmark District in Nebraska. At any given time, about 400 boys and girls live in the Village, receiving care and guidance for a wide range of behavioral, emotional and academic issues. When Father Edward J.
