NYC Parks is an award-winning city agency that designs and builds public spaces for New Yorkers to connect, play and enjoy. Major Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, with latitude for independent initiative and judgment, develop new modules and applications and maintain and enhance existing applications using ASP.NET, AngularJS and VB.NET in a Windows environment.
- Lead Business Intelligence and Analytics development by creating mock-ups, wireframes and reports based on industry norms and best practices.
- Develop new or upgrade existing business processes in Unifier based on Capital Division requirements to increase efficiencies and streamline Parks’ Capital process.
- Assess and identify gaps in existing processes and identify key points of process improvements.
- Perform quality analysis by developing use cases and test plans for all phases of projects.
Qualification Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the areas(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or,
- An associate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the areas required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or,
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or,
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to “1”, “2”, or “3” above.
This position is exempt from NYC residency requirements.
PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficiency with web-based and server-side languages such as .NET development using ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.Net, Core, Node.js and HTML.
- Well-developed skills in associated database programming languages, with an emphasis on Microsoft SQL Server.
- Extensive experience in Project Controls, CPM scheduling, delay analysis, productivity analysis, risk/issue management, claims and dispute resolution.
- Hands-on scheduling experience with Primavera (P6) or Unifier, MSP, NetPoint or similar scheduling software.
- Prior Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server Experience.
- Ability to meet deadlines and identify and resolve issues with minimal direction.
- Effective presentation and meeting management skills and ability to work with both large and small groups.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Salary: $75K - $85K plus excellent benefits
