IT Project Manager - GeoAnalytics

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC), America’s first superhighway, is seeking an individual to join our Information Technology team as an IT Project Manager - GeoAnalytics!  Our mission is to operate a safe, reliable, customer-valued toll road system that supports national mobility and commerce.  The PTC operates a 552-mile system used by 194 million vehicles a year.  The IT Project Manager - GeoAnalytics manages projects involving development or major enhancements for multiple GeoAnalytic solutions, Business Intelligence (BI) applications and Geospatial (GIS) applications and systems.  Together, we are building the highway of the future!  

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains project plans utilizing established project management standards, procedures and methodologies. Coordinates with business owners and other analysts to define and refine the project scope. Develops work breakdown structures based on the project objectives and scope.
• Forms project teams for assigned projects. Conducts project kick-off meetings to communicate individual roles and project expectations. Develops communication plans to convey project scope, goals, milestones, budget, risk, status, change requests and other critical issues to the business owner and the project team.
• Identifies, analyzes and prioritizes the elements of risk and their potential impact to a project. Monitors project milestones and other critical dates to identify and resolve potential issues that may disrupt the project schedule.
• Develops and refines cost estimates and detailed cost baselines for projects to include physical, financial and human capital costs. Continuously monitors the actual cost of the project versus the budget for the project including reviewing invoices and evaluating factors that may potentially cause changes to the cost. Conducts in-depth analysis of project budget discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related technical field

• Five (5) years of experience with geoanalytic applications or developing BI Reports

  Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training will be considered.

Location

The position is located at the PTC’s headquarters in Middletown, PA, right outside of Pennsylvania’s capital city.  The Central PA region has plenty to offer from picturesque scenery to premier entertainment, while residents enjoy an affordable cost of living.  It is conveniently located within a few hours’ drive of popular metropolitan areas such as Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Washington D.C. and New York City. 

There is a Pennsylvania residency requirement, which must be fulfilled within six months of employment. 

Compensation

The hourly range for the IT Project Manager - GeoAnalytics is $29.88-$44.81.
