The Senior/Lead Developer will represent and guide our development team setting the pace, path, and standards for all programming activities. The Senior/Lead Developer will work closely with the CTO and Customer Success manager to ensure our projects meet specified requirements, timelines and budgets.

Our ideal candidate will be willing face challenges head-on while generally taking control of all things related to programming and managing an outsourced team. We prefer an individual with a positive attitude, attention to detail, timeliness and a strong work ethic who is ready to lead their team to digital happiness.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Programming & Technical

 • Research, design and implement technical specifications for projects based on user requirements as indicated in scope of work, wireframes and/or sitemap documents. 
 • Ensure projects are built to meet performance, security, and functional requirements.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of websites, applications and other custom programming assignments as applicable.
• Ability to perform backend/database programming for key projects.
• Stay up to date on industry standards and incorporate them appropriately.
• Assist with testing, debugging, documentation and overall quality assurance of projects. 


Leadership & Management
• Manage and mentor a team of programmers, keeping them challenged and focused.
• Review client requests and provide time estimates for quotes.
• Manage and upkeep web hosting resources such as servers, SSL certificates and DNS.
• Attend management and client calls
• Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or minimum of five years’ work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of PHP, CSS/HTML, JavaScript, jQuery (and/or similar JS libraries), MySQL (or other database management systems) and web servers (Apache).
• Extensive experience in custom web application development.
• Advanced troubleshooting & debugging skills.
• Experience leading and motivating others.
• Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at client sites, corporate meetings and community functions.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with company members, clients, and the public.
