Who are we?

SocialSurvey an established startup with a large customer base of enterprise and SMB customers.  We recently closed a sizable “A-round” of funding to fully build-out our enterprise reputation platform across multiple verticals.

What will you do?

In this role, your primary focus will be to build, deploy and scale our core cloud-based platform.  As a senior member of the technical staff, you will be building the systems that deliver the SocialSurvey family of products across all industry verticals.  You should have hands-on experience with messaging, communications, workflow, data management and APIs. While you will be focused on core platform services around realtime data and user interactions, you will also work across our engineering and product management teams to provide guidance and leadership.  It is expected that you will thrive working with Amazon managed services working alongside our DevSecOps talent. You can expect to be interacting closely with stakeholders, project managers, QA and development teams to deliver on items in our roadmap.

Who you are:

• You have experience writing JSON API servers and working with message queues such as SQS, NSQ or Kafka using Go or similar technologies (Node.js, Python, Elixir, D).
• You have experience writing SQL and NoSQL queries on databases and data stores such as MySQL, MongoDB, Redis and Solr.
• You’ve worked closely with product managers and stakeholders to take business requirements and turn them into tangible deliverable engineering outcomes.
• You care about writing clean, concise and extensible code that other engineers can work on and extend.
• You have a knack for identifying key problems in software development pipelines and enjoy automating processes.
• You like to mentor, train and invest in other potential engineers while reinforcing your knowledge of coding.
• You’re patient and attentive to details, especially while writing automated and performing manual tests.
• You like to think outside the box and have looked at other technologies and frameworks to help you and your team become more productive. Technologies such as gRPC, protobuf and the like.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of programming experience.
• Experience working on complex applications and workflows
