Application Developer for Systems and Analysis

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
∙ Under direct supervision, with latitude for independent initiative and judgment, develop new modules and applications and maintain and enhance existing applications using ASP.NET, AngularJS and VB NET in a Windows environment.
∙ Develop and implement software solutions in a .NET platform environment using Visual Studio. 
∙ Develop, code, deploy and monitor applications, scripts and databases using Visual Basic, ASP.Net, Microsoft Access and other utilities.
∙ Perform application testing and validation and develop system documentation. 
∙ Create and implement SQL stored procedure. Develop SQL views and schemas.
∙ Develop a thorough understanding of data needs and business processes. Support and expand functionality for existing applications.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the areas(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or,
2. An associate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the areas required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or,
3. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or,
4. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to “1”, “2”, or “3” above.

This position is exempt from NYC residency requirements.

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
1. Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages such as AngularJS, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
2. Proficiency with web-based and server-side languages such as .NET development using ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.Net, Core, Node.js and HTML. 
3. Well-developed skills in associated database programming languages, with an emphasis on Microsoft SQL Server. 
4. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL Server technologies. Knowledge of SQL queries and data views.
5. Database skills in a relational database (e.g. Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
6. Good working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts and basic data structures.
7. Ability to meet deadlines and identify and resolve issues with minimal direction.
8. Ability to performance tune and scale applications.
9. Strong knowledge of version control (e.g.. Git, SVN ).
10. Strong knowledge of how to build and work with RESTful APIs.
11. Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. 

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 plus excellent benefits
