Capterra is looking for an exceptional and experienced product manager, focused on on enhancing, optimizing, and growing our internal and external products. In this role, you will work closely with fellow product managers as well as the engineering, editorial, catalog, analytics, and design teams to help deliver personalized experiences to users and ensure that they can find the content that they need, when they need it.

What You’ll Do:

  • Use explicit and implicit data to segment our users and help define experiences personalized to their needs

  • Manage and continuously improve our search experience to ensure users can always find what they are looking for

  • Manage the placement and use of editorial and other content on Capterra’s main site; create a seamless user experience by ensuring this content is available to users when they need it

  • Define product requirements – work with design, business and engineering teams to develop detailed wireframes and requirements

  • Maintain a prioritized backlog and roadmap of new functionality and enhancements, taking into account business goals, user needs, and data analysis

  • Conduct market and user analysis, and use quantitative data to make informed product decisions

  • Actively contribute to long-term product innovation, planning, development, and rollout

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing a digital product, preferably in the e-commerce or B2B software space, with an emphasis on delivering quality experiences in a rapid, iterative fashion

  • Experience translating customer and business needs into features and solutions, delivering delightful and frictionless customer experiences

  • Deep understanding of SEO best practices and content strategy

  • Understanding of / experience with data science / machine learning / natural language processing

  • Proven ability to write detailed product requirements, success metrics, and test cases, manage existing products and evolve/optimize their performance using metrics and data (especially Google Analytics)

  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Solr, and/or Lucene

  • Strong attention to detail—meticulous and accurate

  • Experience maintaining a product backlog and roadmap

  • Experience leveraging behavioral science to encourage action is a strong plus

  • Experience with Scrum is a plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree
