NEXUS is the leading international network of next gen philanthropists & social entrepreneurs from 70+ countries and some of the world’s most influential families. NEXUS hosts summits in 6 regions annually and a flagship Global Summit at the U.N. NEXUS also holds 50+ smaller “salon” volunteer-led events around the world each year.
NEXUS is hiring for a full time Database & Technology Associate to work primarily remotely with preference given to someone who could spend 1-2 days a week in person in New York City. The Associate will be responsible for day to day tasks and processes for technologies ranging from Salesforce, FormAssembly & Pardot to Wordpress, APEX, Graphical User Interface (GUI), Google Suite and more.
The Associate will be asked to consult with executives on all tech decisions and will lead the organization toward best practices for all technology including Salesforce, mass email, newsletter processes and more.
Salesforce responsibilities include:
Running reports of users by city, country, summit attended etc.
Updating individual profiles with new locations, jobs, email addresses etc.
Creating custom objects and new groupings
Designing a process to manage 1000+ duplicate profiles
Training staff and volunteer leaders in Salesforce (to see who has registered for a particular summit and send email campaigns)
Performing overall data integrity audits
Setting up a multi-option unsubscribe feature w/Salesforce & Pardot (so users amy unsubscribe from receiving emails related to a specific summit or issue area but can opt to still receive the NEXUS newsletter, or visa-versa)
Determining a system to manage the list of invitees for summit who respond they cannot attend (so we stop sending reminders)
Overseeing 2-way sync process with Salesforce & Pathable summit community app to assure user profiles & fields are mapped correctly
Conducting backups
Pardot responsibilities include:
HTML design of monthly newsletters templates
Designing templates for and sending frequent email campaigns about summits
Managing bounced email addresses and unsubscribes
Designing triggers so custom second emails are sent based on open rate and actions taken by users
Summit Registration/Application responsibilities include:
Using Form Assembly ability to edit and build different custom registration and application forms for 6-7 summits a year that integrate with Salesforce and Stripe for payment collection
Managing the process & timeline for consultants from Fonteva who are building custom dashboards for application review, nomination codes & more (which will replace FormAssembly by mid-2019)
Wordpress responsibilities include:
Designing web pages for each summit featuring graphics, locations, the application and speaker names as they confirm
Adding details for upcoming salons and exclusive discounts to the events page on the website on a regular basis
Updating text, photos and adding new working group web pages from time to time
Explore building a “members only” section of the website to be unlocked via Pathable or Salesforce Community login & password
We seek an Associate who desires being part of a high-energy, fast paced team with a fun “start-up” vibe. A self-starter who enjoys identifying and solving problems will excel with this organization. The ideal candidate thrives working independently and primarily remotely.
Specifications:
Competency w/ Salesforce configuration, object design & integration required. Experience with “Salesforce Communities” a plus.
Experience with FormAssembly, Pardot, HTML & WordPress required.
Experience with APEX, Graphical User Interface (GUI), Dataloader, CSS & Javascript preferred.
Familiarity with Fonteva or Pathable a bonus.
Ability to read, write and understand technical documentation needed.
Some experience with coding in various language is helpful.
A minimum of 3 years work experience required.
Attention to detail and experience with data integrity audits is essential.
Highlights of Working at NEXUS:
Position is 80% remote with 1-2 days/week in NYC preferred
Hire is a 1099 consultant
NEXUS offers unlimited vacation days, based on work being up to date
NEXUS is closed for 8 days over Xmas & New Years and for 5 days in August
