Responsibilities will focus on performing operations and maintenance tasks for current and future SaaS, PaaS, and locally hosted solutions in support of University needs. Tasks will include, but not be limited to interacting with other technical teams in support of implementing and integrating current and future systems and services, working with vendors in support of hosted solutions, and working with clients in support of their use of services. Client interactions will include migrating services, and diagnosing issues when encountered. Monitoring of systems, and investigating system problems are also part of the position’s responsibilities.

Minimum qualifications 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university OR 4 years equivalent work experience;

AND

1 – 2 years experience administering Canvas or a similar Learning Management System;

AND

2 – 4 years experience in a hands-on technical role in support of Web Application Administration.

KNOWLEDGESKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communications skills

Preferences

  • Experience administering hosted applications including acting as the agent between local customers and hosted support.
  • Proficiency with HTMLCSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, and other Web development technologies.
  • Working knowledge of the AWS environment.
  • Experience working with PaaS environments like ServiceNow, or Salesforce.

Physical demands: sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Salary range: $73,660 - $73,660
