DevOps Engineer

This is a new technology role and the DevOps Engineer will help drive operational excellence for our development teams by re-imagining our product delivery. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate practical experience with VPS management, web server configuration, architecture and security.

This position reports directly to the Director of Web Development, and will work with a team of developers and 
cross-functional departments. This person will play a key role in developing and implementing impactful technology to elevate our brands in the waste service industry.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:

• Strategize with our development team to implement product delivery solutions
• Leading initiatives for new technologies to support our growing infrastructure 
• Manage and maintain all servers (software updates, distro updates, configuration)
• Streamline and improve continuous integration (Jenkins)
• Ensures servers are secure and that proper backup/restore processes are in place
• Exploring tools and ideas that will aid in development productivity and product delivery
• VPS management (Digital Ocean)
• Web server configuration (Apache, NGINX, language specific configs, etc.)
