Database Developer (SQL)

Ventera is hiring for a Database Developer (SQL 2014) to support  an ongoing development project with one of our Federal clients.  The position is based in our Reston, VA office.  Current or Previous Clearance (MBI/Secret/Public Trust) is a big plus.  

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ Years’ experience as a Database Developer in SQL Server 2014
• 3+ Years’ experience as a SSRS Developer

Desired Database Developer Experience:

• Experience in coordinating with Project manager / DB developers / Application Developers and BA team to implement DB solution
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining DB programmable objects like procedures, functions, views and triggers
• Proficiency in SQL Performance tuning

Desired Reporting experience:

• Experience with creating and maintaining SSRS reports
• Experience with troubleshooting and resolving reports related performance issues
• Experience with report server maintenance and configuration

Desired DBA experience:

• Experience with monitoring database performance, managing access permissions and troubleshooting issues
• Database backup and restores
• Creating both logical and physical data models
