Meetings are at the core of teamwork, where the needs of our customers are heard and solutions brought to life. But, meetings are often a source for disconnect - the tools we use aren’t integrated and it’s hard to loop everyone else in. Hugo changes all of that with a product that enables meeting collaboration for modern teams - connecting meeting notes with our tools to make insights shareable and actionable across the business.

Partnering with leaders like Atlassian, Zoom and Slack, we’ve been able to turn meetings into a powerful force to align teams and create customer-centric cultures with 40% less meeting attendance. We’re excellent at building beautiful product that solves real problems for our customers, but we need help getting Hugo into more hands.

As a self-serve B2B SaaS business, we’re looking for a full-stack growth marketing leader to join our founding team and work with us in building our growth engine for repeatable and scalable customer acquisition.

What we’d like you to do

Work with the co-founders in defining and building out the channels to generate demand, sign-ups and customers without a sales team. We don’t want to prescribe how, but we think these are some areas of opportunity:

  • SEM and Content Marketing - kick-off Hugo’s content marketing strategy, with regular posting, development of white papers, social media and keyword optimization to own our newly defined category.

  • Development of a Marketing Funnel - establish communications, content and strategies to turn marketing qualified leads into users and ultimately customers.

  • Product Marketing - partner with the product team to bake our message and self-serve marketing strategies employed at the top of the funnel into the product, providing customers an end-to-end experience.

  • Exposure - support our partnerships, PR and event-based strategies with fresh ideas, material and help on the ground spreading the Hugo word.

What you will accomplish

In your first 30 days, you will make some quick wins, including:

  • Development of Hugo’s brand, content and keyword strategy and channels to focus on for the quarter

  • Planning out a content calendar with topics, distribution channels and themes and published your first pieces of work for the world to see

  • Shipping an early version of a marketing campaign to take MQLs and convert them into customers

  • Working with us on product marketing ideas, campaigns and repeatable ways to grow weekly signups.

In your first 90 days, you will be focused on strategy implementation, including:

  • Building a well-oiled content machine, with regular posts and evergreen content being shipped, distributed and read, leading to noticeable improvements in SEO and top of funnel analytics.

  • Seeing conversion of marketing leads into users and customers through your well thought-out funnel, with opportunity for more refinement.

  • Planning and attending events with the founders to market Hugo and learn more about our customers and addressable market.

  • Supporting partnership launches and big-brand co-marketing, leading the Hugo brand to become a ‘household name’ for our target customers.

What you bring to Hugo

  • Experience building a growth function in a B2B SaaS company, ideally with a self-serve or low-touch business model. Your background in startup marketing / growth means you have knowledge of channels, opportunities and a bank of ideas for turning a well-loved product into a repeatable, scalable growth machine.

  • Exceptional story-telling and writing skills, able to engage readers with high quality, well thought-out content.

  • SEO is your middle-name. You know the tricks of the trade and how to optimize content and web assets to move up the ranks and make sure Hugo is where it should be when potential customers are looking for a solution.

  • Confidence, passion and energy to captivate audiences, whether that be partners, customers or an industry with our story and the opportunity.

  • Tech-savviness - you’re a pro with Google Suite, Slack, CMS’, Trello and maybe even Sketch or other design tools.
