We are seeking a Full Stack Developer, based out of our NYC office, to manage the front and back-end web development for Market Realist and will take a key role on our team. Our Full Stack developer must have knowledge in all stages of software development.
The right candidate will work alongside other engineers and developers, collaborating on the various layers of the architecture for our web site. This is an exciting opportunity to play a significant role in a growing company.
Responsibilities
● Ensure your code is well-designed and well-tested.
● Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability.
● Participate in project daily standup meetings with Product Director and team members.
● Work closely with the design team and translate/implement visual comps into HTML/CSS.
● Use git to generate pull requests.
● Maintain and ensure responsiveness of applications.
● Ability to troubleshoot and debug browsers.
● Maintain code integrity and organization.
● Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
● Understanding of SEO standards.
● Be involved in the product process and help build solutions to take Market Realists’ products above and beyond.
● Report to Head of Engineering.
Qualifications
● Deep experience with Javascript frameworks (preferably Angular/AngularJS)
● Development with responsive design a must.
● Knowledge of NodeJS, MongoDB, Docker is preferred.
● Full mobile app development a plus. (Android and iOS)
● Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications, nice to have.
● Ability to work with a remote team effectively, including developing appropriate goals and strategy while maintaining the highest levels of organization and quality.
● Time management and analytical skills.
● Ability to perform several tasks and handle ever evolving priorities.
● Ability to translate requirements into a finished project.
● Communication skills to collaborate with clients and internal development teams.
● Excellent problem-solving skills.
● Finance experience a plus.
