High growth consumer bio-tech start up is seeking a strategic marketing leader to help shape the future of this digitally native brand. The person in this assignment will play the central role in collaborating with the leadership team in setting the consumer acquisition strategy and will own execution across media channels. Expert in and owner of everything digital -- website marketing, digital campaigns, social media campaigns, email campaigns, SEO, and digital video.  Although the marketing role will be digitally focused, we seek a broad strategic marketer that has passion for driving the business through both online and offline media. This role will be a leader in setting the strategy across all marketing spend, from paid digital to PR. You’ll report to our President and will regularly share insights and analysis with the broader leadership team. You will have responsibility for overseeing a team of 3 design/editorial team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the marketing strategy to generate awareness and drive conversion among brand prime consumer prospects.  
  • Own media planning and the annual and monthly media activity pacing calendar.
  • You will collaborate to create meaningful and high-converting landing pages, ads, and assets that reflect the brand ethos.
  • Monitor digital media and sales performance daily, with a burning passion to deliver each day’s results better than the day prior.
  • With agency partners, measure and report on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against KPIs.  Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports as needed, with the ability to recognize performance trends and capitalize on opportunities and troubleshoot data anomalies.
  • Keep a curious eye toward industry trends and insights, and lead the team to continually test and learn.
  • Partner with the design team to rapidly test marketing messages and images on our website and within paid media.  Develop and execute regular A/B testing. As effective messaging is identified, continually scale and optimize.
  • Co-lead forecasting and production planning process in partnership with Finance and Product Supply leaders.
  • Work closely with Customer Experience and Email marketing team members to develop strategies to re-engage customers and increase average order size and repeat sales, with the goal to deliver the highest possible customer lifetime value.
  • Closely monitor performance throughout the conversion funnel and identify and champion opportunities to optimize.
  • Craft and document processes and frameworks; you’ll be accountable for the health of the brand’s campaign executions.
  • Project manage both internal and external creative teams to develop equity driven creative that makes the brand famous.  
  • Identification and selection of potential strategic media and celebrity partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Exceptional analytical skills necessary for success in the role.
  • Working understanding of a P&L and marketing’s role in driving key top and bottom line results.
  • Min 5 years work experience within consumer goods marketing.
  • Minimum 2 years direct work experience in digital marketing strategy role.
  • Experience working with and managing media agency partners (or have worked in an agency environment).
  • EComm-business experience required.  Start-up experience preferred.
  • Must have strong strategic and tactical understanding of media tools within Facebook/Instagram, Youtube, Google Adwords.
  • Deep knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Ability to build reports, analyze data, communicate meaningful metrics.
  • Outstanding time management skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize projects and initiatives.
