Position Summary:

Founded in 1947 CEB is one of California's oldest and most prestigious legal information and continuing legal education providers. CEB publishes judgments of California case law, practical guidance for attorneys and, CLE all in a variety of practice areas and formats e.g. print, online and, in-person.

Under the general direction of the CEB Director of Go-to-Market, the Digital Marketing Manager will lead the development and build out of its digital marketing capability as it transitions from a print business model to a digital first organization. The Digital Marketing Manager operates on both a strategic and tactical level to develop and implement a holistic digital marketing strategy to achieve our overall revenue and customer experience goals. The Digital Marketing Manager is a data-driven, natural-born problem solver who can do market research, gather customer insights, and drive go-to-market strategy, while still rolling up their sleeves to get things done.

Duties

Duty 1: Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify problems and pain points in the customer journey, as well as opportunities for growth.

Be responsible for the implementation and day-to-day operation of marketing automation processes and tools.

Stay up-to-date with competitors and understand the latest trends in the industry.

Ensure brand consistency across media and platforms in marketing messaging and product copy.

Have expertise in e-commerce and user acquisition strategies, next-generation digital marketing channels, and running a data-informed digital marketing organization.

Manage daily execution of campaigns across marketing channels.

Collaborate with Creative Services team to provide strategic context and insight into the creative process and to build, maintain and implement the editorial calendar for content marketing.

Produce weekly, monthly and quarterly creative and campaign performance reports and additional ad hoc analyses as required.

Manage vendor relationships to maintain support and keep up-to-date on new features and product capabilities.

Prepare and manage digital marketing budget.

Drive strategy and execution for digital marketing, lead generation and engagement, including content marketing, digital advertising, SEO, mobile, and social media.

Manage agencies and other vendor partners.

Duty 2: Provide leadership and guidance to Creative Services and Data Analytics staff.

Attract, hire, motivate, and continually develop marketing staff.

Conduct performance evaluations and lead discussion of evaluations with employees. Take or ensure that disciplinary action is taken when necessary.

Provide performance coaching for team members to maximize performance and convey clear and effective guidance on work priorities.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

B2B e-commerce marketing experience

Demonstrated ability to create programs that increase revenue and generate customer acquisition, conversion and lead generation.

Digital Marketing Strategy experience

Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills

PPC/SEO expertise

Experience with Salesforce and Marketo

Solid knowledge of website analytics tools
