Position Summary:

The Vice President, Product, is responsible for leading the pro-active development and management of products and services to be offered by the Automatic connected vehicle team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prioritize connected vehicle development initiatives and set timetables for the evaluation, development and deployment of all Automatic products and services
  • Solicit and gather product plan input from business development, customer care, marketing and engineering/development teams to ensure that plans are well-rounded and inclusive of necessary dependencies
  • Draft Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) reflective of targeted opportunities and Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) necessary for the engineering/development teams to successfully build high-quality products
  • Provide overall leadership and strategy for product UI/UX
  • Work with external partners to enhance the value of the Automatic platform/functionality
  • Assist with business case analysis of new products under consideration for development
  • Implement and oversee program management processes to facilitate successful product launches
  • Own overall product commercialization process
  • Support business development efforts with proposal development (incl. product concepts)
  • Establish and report out key performance indicators on a regular basis

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Product and design team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.A. in marketing or related field or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of product management experience shipping complex products developed in an iterative approach
  • Knowledge and experience in both B2B and B2C
  • Background in software engineering a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership role

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of one or more dedicated project management software programs.
  • Thorough knowledge of G Suite business applications.
