As content lead for Parsley Health you will drive some of the best health content available. To succeed in this role you must have direct experience in email marketing, content funnels, managing content calendars, editing content, and brand storytelling. While this role requires taking the 1000 foot view it is simultaneously a roll-up-your-sleeves role, as Parsley Health is a startup where we take a seek and solve and create attitude. Prior startup experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Content calendar: Develop own and manage Parsley Health’s content calendar including blog, newsletter, social media and events
  • Content creation: In collaboration with staff writers, draft edit and execute newsletters, blog posts, and content funnel elements including landing pages and email nurture sequences.
  • Design: Collaborate with marketing design and technology teams to plan and develop content style and layout; be the final checkpoint to ensure all content follows brand guidelines
  • Analytics: Own and manage week over week and month over month analytics including traffic engagement and conversion rates
  • Editorial: Edit, proofread and improve freelancer and medical professional posts
  • SEO: Optimize all content for search
  • A/B testing: Own and develop A/B testing schedule for content funnels
  • Paid media: work with our paid media manager and outside consultants to create content that supports top of the funnel growth
  • Management: Parsley’s social media manager will report directly to you; you are responsible for ensuring social content is executed on schedule and on brand
  • Syndication and content partnerships: Oversee the placement of and editing of Parsley Health content for outside editorial platforms
  • Influencers: Manage our influencer relationships and ensure content sharing agreements are executed

Requirements

  • 3-5 years working in content marketing, branded content or editorial content with a strong marketing background
  • Direct hands on experience using Hubspot, Sendgrid or Mailchimp or other email marketing platform
  • Direct experience in using analytics and A/B testing to drive content strategy
  • A willingness to get your hands dirty with content creation as well as strategy
  • Personal interest in health and wellness
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
