We are a rapidly growing seed stage FinTech company focused on providing E-Commerce companies and shoppers a better returns, exchanges, and refunds experience.



You will:

  • Solve new and challenging problems around ecommerce payments, credit issuance and settlement, fraud detection, SaaS integration, big data ingestion
  • Design and build products, services, infrastructure and tools, primarily using JVM ecosystem (Java, Kotlin) and other languages and frameworks (Ruby, Python, Go)
  • Design and build systems with automated instrumentation and monitoring
  • Live and breathe resiliency and uptime
  • Drive quality by writing unit, integration, and performance tests in a continuous delivery environment
  • Consistently improve maintainability and stability of the codebase
  • Be part of a world-class team of engineers with decades of experience
  • Work cross-functionally with some of the best people in different disciplines like data science, finance, product management, marketing & sales, design



Our ideal candidate has:

  • 5-7+ years of professional expertise in Java or similar language (such as C++ or C#)
  • Strong familiarity with *nix environment including bash and command-line tools
  • Experience with at least one of Ruby, Python, Kotlin, Scala is a plus
  • Knowledge of various technologies, frameworks and libraries in the JVM ecosystem
  • Courage and discipline to dig-in and refactor other people's' code and explore new technology and solutions
  • Proven track record of shipping software in a delivery-focused environment
  • The desire to improve broken processes and make your own job easier over time
  • Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence effectively across various departments
  • Data-driven mentality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to details
  • Knowledge of web service technologies and REST best-practices
  • Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code
  • Ability to design and develop horizontally-scalable, resilient and efficient systems
  • Understanding of and experience with NoSQL data stores is a plus



Bonus points for:

  • Deep understanding of distributed systems in a cloud environment, and event-driven architecture
  • Exposure to Amazon Web Services
  • Deep understanding and experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Familiarity with RDBMS design for both OLTP and Data Warehousing is a plus
  • B.S. degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field is a plus
  • Prior history of driving impact in a high-growth e-commerce/technology startup is a plus
