NEXON M is a mobile game publisher and developer based in the SF Bay Area in Emeryville. Founded in 2013, NEXON M focuses on free-to-play games for mobile and counts some of the world’s best developers as its partners, including Big Huge Games, maker of the top-grossing game DomiNations; and Particle City.

NEXON M’s focus on free-to-play games for mobile can be traced to our roots as a subsidiary of NEXON Corp. As Korea’s largest game company, NEXON is known for having created the first free-to-play games in the early 2000′s and has multiple games which recently passed their 10-year anniversaries of live operation.

As a Software Engineer, Web Applications & Tools you will be part of a engineering team responsible for developing tools and web applications. We are looking for an inspired and innovative engineer who is excited to work at a mobile gaming publisher for AAA titles at Nexon M.

Responsibilities
  • Designing, developing and testing code for high-quality web applications in a production setting
  • Developing client prototypes for various systems and applications
  • Working within a development cycle using Agile methodologies
Requirements
  • Professional experience developing web apps with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and Java or Python
  • Minimum 2-5 years developing web applications
  • BA/BS or better in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and CSS development
  • Proficient with JSON, Jquery, Angular JS, Bootstrap
  • Good knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Experience developing object-oriented code in Java or Python
  • Familiar with wire framing and mockup prototype development
  • Experience with Agile software development, code reviews and unit testing
  • Passion for video game industry a plus
