POSITION SUMMARY //

We are currently in search of an innovative and experienced Senior Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio of various work and technology products they have helped create and maintain. At least 5 years previous experience designing and managing web applications is desired.

Ethika developer team members work closely with one another and in a hands-on environment. This position will require someone that is driven, has a strong understanding of the Ethika brand and consumer, with the ability to work comfortably in a team environment. The ability to receive feedback easily and incorporate it into your work is a must.

DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS //

Design, create, and implement new designs for the Ethika website, including the customer-facing gallery and shopping cart experience.

Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and correct problems or refer problems to appropriate personnel for correction.

Create commands and processes for communicating information between Ethika's technology and other 3rd party applications.

Troubleshoot network and server issues affecting websites.

Incorporate technical considerations into web site design plans, such as budgets, equipment, performance requirements, or legal issues including accessibility and privacy.

Develop or implement procedures for ongoing website revision.

Recommend and implement performance improvements.

Completes special projects and assignments as requested.

Job Requirements

To effectively fulfill this position, candidate must have experience in the following areas:

PHP and common frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, Silex, etc.) using Object Oriented Programming

Latest HTML and CSS best practices

Databases (both SQL and NoSQL)

Server software (Apache/Nginx)

Common javascript libraries and frameworks (jQuery, Angular, Bootstrap, etc.), including generation of content using SASS, Bower, Gulp, etc.

Version control processes using Git

Managing services on Amazon AWS

Very comfortable on Linux command line
