ASME (American Society for Mechanical Engineers) is a world-renowned, member-based professional organization focused on serving the technical, educational and other programmatic needs of the engineering and technology communities on a worldwide basis. ASME generates approximately $115 million annually from the sale of products and services and provides a wide range of mission focused programs and activities. We currently are seeking a Principal Applications Developer.
The Principal Application Developer works with the Manager Application Developer or a Technical Lead on software development related projects.He/she must be able to become proficient with the applications’ architecture quickly and have the ability to enhance, update and maintain such applications.Developer must be adeptly proficient in client/server application development and must be adeptly proficient in the use of Visual Studio / Team Explorer.
In addition, the Principal Application Developer must be able to oversee development tasks from inception to implementation and follow architecture designs supplied by the Application Development Manager, Technical Lead of the Architecture Team.He/she must be able to perform all tasks on the application stack. This includes creating or updating .Net code, database stored procedures, pulling data into applications using any ORM and displaying this data in an application or a web page.
Ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent additional experience in the field of computer science with 10 years of full stack application development.
Additional skill requirements include:
- Expert in client and server side development.
- Expert in implementing APIs in ASP.NET WebAPI.
- Expert in object oriented design and implementation.
- Proficient in advanced data modeling and data layer architecture pertaining to popular ORMs.
- Proficient use of popular GoF design patterns including repository and unit of work patterns.
- Demonstrates proficiency in new languages and new features of existing languages, when made available.
Candidate must also have advanced knowledge of the following:
- Bootstrap CSS
- Bootstrap Components, JQuery UI or Telerik controls
- Angular JS
- .Net Framework
- ASP.NET MVC
- ASP.NET Razor
- Entity Framework
- .NET WebAPI
