Tule is a venture-backed insurance start-up revolutionizing workers’ compensation. We are hiring our founding team members in software engineering, data science, design and product. Join us in designing a smarter way to provide workers’ compensation that is built on technology from the ground-up. Powered by a platform that helps our customers’ prevent workplace injuries and enhance workers’ well-being.

The role

We need a brilliant Head of Product to join us as a founding team member, passionate about building an elegant and simple product. This is a prime opportunity for the right person to play a pivotal role in defining and launching the core product of a company that has the competitive advantages to become a leader in the insurance industry.

You will

• Create awesome code with the rest of the team
• Develop and manage overall product strategy and roadmap and guide execution
• Test hypotheses using any and all methods at your disposal
• Prototype, iterate, and create an MVP and bring our product to market
• Develop the product management team and provide leadership within the team as well as across the organization
• Contribute significantly to the company strategy, leadership, and culture
• Bring a high level of craft to the product creation process

Our ideal candidate has

• 7+ years of related experience, with a proven track record
• Demonstrated ability to assess market fit for new products
• Experience in establishing methods to drive data-based decisions
• Experience in a landscape where the primary KPI was usage, and an understanding of the methods involved in driving those numbers
• High technical acumen
• Strong understanding of behavior science

Bonus points

• Previous experience as a software engineer
• Experience or demonstrated understanding of safety practices
• Successful implementation of gamification principles or other usage incentives
