WHO WE ARE:
A 2015 TechCrunch Battlefield participant, Selequity is digitally transforming how commercial real estate is financed. We are a team of real estate industry veterans, creating a fintech platform to bring accredited investors together with seasoned building sponsors to finance a wide variety of quality commercial real estate opportunities. The Selequity team is composed of real estate experts, financial specialists, and marketing and technology professionals on a quest to change an industry.
Founded in an old mule barn in a prospering area of St. Louis, our creative team is amplified by its unique surroundings. We are in the process of adding to our software development capabilities and are looking for talent interested in exploring new business models with the latest technologies.
WHO WE'RE SEEKING:
Selequity is looking to increase its in-house web development efforts with an experienced lead web developer who enjoys the challenge of working from end-to-end in a development project. We are looking for an individual who can deliver effective software in addition to contributing creatively within the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate during the creative process and provide guidance on effective methods for implementing design
- Collaborate with the product manager to define technical requirements, scope, and effort estimates
- Develop code to effectively deliver the design based on requirements
- Ensure technical solutions are properly architected and review all code for quality assurance
- In partnership with product team, help set direction for our technology practice
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance
- Manage all DevOps resources such as AWS, Chef, etc.
- Develop client-side functionality using HTML5, CSS, and AngularJS
- Develop server-side logic in a Ruby on Rails API
- Implement data models in Postgres
- Support SEO efforts
- Create test suites
- Implement analytics
- Maintain CMS models
- Provide technical documentation
REQUIRED / DESIRED SKILLS:
- CS background with 3+ years of experience in modern web stack development preferred
- Self-starter who is able to make decisions despite ambiguity
- Comfortable in current server-side frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Node.js
- Comfortable developing data models with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Experience delivering responsive web interfaces with JS frameworks (like AngularJS, React, Ember, etc.) and HTML5 + CSS3
- Familiarity with DevOps for monitoring, deployment, CI, etc.
- Familiarity with AWS
- Familiarity with GIT
