The role:

We’re looking for engineers who share a standard of excellence as we expand Growbot onto new platforms. As the shift to messaging changes how we interact with each other and work systems, Growbot aims to be at the epicenter of this $17B market.

We're looking for a senior full-stack developer that lives for solving problems. Ideally, you're someone that prefers a specific area of the stack but will build whatever is needed to push the company forward. This means building, talking to users, and helping define the roadmap.

We believe ownership is key when developing software. We run Node.js, Redis, and PostgreSQL on AWS.

Our ideal candidate has:

• 4+ years of excellent and recent software engineering experience (Node.js, Java, Python, Rails, etc.)
• Technical Degree from a 4 year university
• Startup mentality and the ability to thrive in uncertainty

• Experience setting the team goals and informing the technical direction of the engineering team
• Some experience working within both startups and large organizations
• The ability and desire to work independently and perform as an Individual Contributor

Nice to haves:

• Professional experience with Javascript - Node.js is highly preferred

• Some experience with Redis
• Professional experience with Relational Databases - PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Some professional experience with AWS
• Exp. developing within the Slack API
• Some experience with Docker or similar containerization tools
• Side projects, open source contributions, etc.

You will:

• Own the end-to-end feature development
• Collaborate on feature design with the product team
• Jump into the codebase to build features from the ground up
• Write tests to minimize errors and breakage
• Validate each feature’s efficacy through analyzing and presenting metrics
