Shopkick is looking for an accomplished Retail Account Director to join our growing Retail Partnerships team in New York City. The Retail Account Director will acquire new retail customers as well as execute on the overall retail strategy. This person will work with the VP of Retail Partnerships to help drive demand for execution of advertising/marketing plans with Top 100 Retailers.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Manage complete sales cycle process from identifying to closing new partnerships with tier-1 retailers across different verticals (fashion, lifestyle, electronics, furniture, specialty, etc.)
  • Represent the shopkick brand to C-level executives across multiple retail and agency clients
  • Structure and negotiate enterprise agreements with executive level decision-makers, pushing deals through to closure
  • Meet and exceed revenue and new account addition targets
  • Partner with internal product and marketing teams to develop, refine and implement retail sales strategy
  • Regular communication and travel to customers you’ve signed to build/nurture relationships
  • Deliver accurate Salesforce reporting and forecast updates to the organization


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years quota-carrying experience required in media sales or business development and deep understanding of a retail landscape (ideally fashion, lifestyle, electronics, furniture, specialty, etc.)
  • Track record of success delivering significant revenue growth through digital marketing partnerships from retail accounts
  • Proven ability to develop and execute business development plans that will achieve revenue and traffic targets through new retail relationships
  • Established relationships with senior executives in retail and comfortable navigating client-side processes and politics
  • Excellent client management and prospecting skills - self-starter, organized and detail-oriented
  • Salesforce expertise
