Cloud Infrastructure Architect

As Cloud Infrastructure Architect you will establish the overall Cloud Infrastructure, Design and Evolution. You will participate in the complete SDLC process to guarantee flexibility, availability, security and supportability.

WHAT YOU WILL BE LIVING AND BREATHING EACH DAY:

• Drives innovation and best practices into the Site Reliability Engineering Team and overall technology team
• Acts as primary architect, working with other architects and subject matter experts to design enterprise solutions and services, including evaluating technologies and business change requirements
• Documenting, recommending and guiding strategies across the infrastructure service layers of network, storage, server, virtualization, and operating systems
• Designs inter-network solutions and standards, including physical and logical design, and development of network topology and architecture
• Authors and provides input for new service development, systems documentation, procedures, and processes
• Experience and knowledge of private, public and hybrid cloud infrastructures and services
• Extensive understanding of advanced and multi-dimensional troubleshooting, recommendations, and multi-platform issue resolution for highly complex systems, network and security problems across multiple/converged technology solutions and services
• Work with Consensus engineering team to translate architecture into detail design and ensure the successful execution of defined initiatives
• Work collaboratively with the product development, engineering and IT teams to turn product and technology strategy into executable plans, including system and deployment architecture
• Participate in code reviews of core platform modules
• Create, update and maintain recipes for all infrastructure, networking and tool provisioning
• Partner with the application development team to validate application installation scripts will work flawlessly to build all non-production and production stacks
• Produce provisioning scripts for hardware, network and tool installations

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Large distributed mission critical solutions leveraging Java platform and open-source technology
• Knowledge of eCommerce solutions, POS, Billing or Order Management systems
• Architecting and delivering solutions at internet scale, within an evolving Agile Delivery model
• Architect solutions that balance project timeline, budget, non-functional requirements and future state direction
• Knowledge of Security/Data Protection, Network Management, Systems Management & Monitoring a must
• Strong communicator with the ability to represent team and influence program technical objectives with peers across the company and industry
• Working knowledge of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and cloud systems across multiple providers
• Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
• Has a high level understanding of operating systems and foundation architecture
• Ability to explain technical solutions to technical and non-technical teams
• Technical Skills: MS Office, JIRA, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, GIT, Find Bugs, Fortify, AWS, SoftLayer, Azure
• Education: Bachelor's Degree or equilvalent expirience
• Technical Expirience: 10+ years
