Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy for The Juilliard School’s digital products, continuing education, public performances, store merchandise, and other earned income drivers to extend the educational reach of and increase revenue for the School. Oversee all aspects of product marketing with focus on the launch of a new online education program in 2017, including sales projections and multi-channel advertising campaigns.

Work closely with colleagues responsible for brand and content development to manage revenue-generating campaigns in the context of admissions recruitment, fundraising campaigns, and other institution-wide initiatives and priorities. Co-manage the School’s data analytics function, providing data-driven insights to drive content strategy, maximize ROI on marketing spend, and facilitate data integration across the School.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that increases revenue and engagement from Juilliard’s global community of patrons, alumni, and the general public
  • Ensure effective execution of marketing plans for online products while closely measuring effectiveness
  • Develop appropriate KPIs and implement regular reporting systems to communicate the status of performance goals
  • Synthesize and communicate user data into actionable insights for marketing and content strategy across all product lines and institutional offerings
  • Work in close collaboration with development and communications teams on outreach to various stakeholders, driving revenue growth and patron engagement
  • Oversee sales, advertising, analytics, web integration, and campaign management.
  • Develop sales goals and while ensuring allocation of appropriate resources for promotional support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5-7 years relevant experience in marketing for the performing arts or consumer-oriented educational products
  • Strong technical background including experience working with Content Management Systems, email platforms, ecommerce systems, digital advertising platforms, and social networks
  • Ability to manage a complicated and multi-faceted budget
  • Strong writing, proofreading, communication, and project management skills
  • Eye for layout and design; HTML and Photoshop skills
  • Demonstrated time management skills; ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks within a fast-paced business environment
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Search Engine Optimization, and split testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to represent the Juilliard brand well in all aspects of the job
  • Significant exposure to and/or knowledge of the performing arts is a strong plus
