POSITION: Manager of product development. This is a management position and an individual contributor position. You will be report directly to the CEO. You will have a few people reporting to you directly.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be someone who enjoys the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a fast growing company and has been through the experience of scaling up a team to significant organization size at least once in their career. Candidates must have previously built world class products in a relatively short period of time with small teams.
- Need a hands-on team leader that can roll up their sleeves to get the job done. Therefore, need someone who is actively writing and reviewing code compatible with our technology stack, and is ready to contribute when needed.
- Must have recent and significant experience in an engineering leadership position with responsibility for designing and building SaaS applications for large customers.
- Must have repeatedly designed and built large scale distributed software systems for demanding customers.
- Must be skilled at providing the right amount of process to produce repeatable results.
- Must be a results oriented, hands on, technical executive focused on delivering high quality products. Must be able to establish a predictable, sustainable product development release cadence. Must be able to build, make, and shape the QA process for products to have very predictable high quality releases. Must have a sustainable and predictable release for high quality software with repeatable results.
- Must have an expert ability to develop and communicate an architectural vision and to translate that vision into working software.
- Must have demonstrated ability to recruit top-notch talent. The right candidate must be a leader and manager, able to recruit first-rate talent and tightly coordinate their efforts. Must be able to manage a geographically dispersed team.
- Must be an effective communicator who works well within an organization to get things done.
Desired Technology Stack Experience: AWS or other cloud computing platforms, Java SE, Development Kit 8, Spring Framework v4.2 and later, HTML 5.0, CSS, AJAX, ThymeLeaf, JQuery, Bootstrap, ReactJS, Spring Tool Suite, Spring Boot, Gradle (Buildship), MySQL, Redis, Linux
COMPENSATION: This is a key hire. Compensation will include an annual base salary in line with experience level and market rates for an early stage company and includes a benefits package with health, life, dental, 401k, etc. A major component of the compensation will be a significant equity package. We want someone who is motivated and confident in the ability to be successful in this role.
CANDIDATE MANAGEMENT STYLE: Need a strong leader who is also a team player and collaborative. Someone who is a self-starter and can hit the ground running and quickly and positively impact our release schedule. Someone who is self-motivated and proactive and communicates with the team.
