SUMMARY:
Our confidential joint venture is looking for a dynamic Vice President of Marketing to develop and execute a cohesive brand strategy and marketing plan to make our platform a globally-recognized consumer brand. If you are someone who can see the potential in mobile applications and their impact before they even start, gets fired up to channel user insights into development projects from day one, and lives to build brands from the ground up then this could be the role for you. Working with internal and external partners in a fast moving, entrepreneurial environment, this person will help define the future of our organization and the ability to assist millions of people with undiagnosed sleep issues worldwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work with leadership to develop and execute brand strategy and marketing plan.
  • Develop a deep understanding of global consumer product needs and emotional drivers for mobile application interfaces in the fitness as well as the healthcare space.
  • Look across the mobile landscape to identify trends to inform product portfolio development decision-making through market identification and sizing.
  • Evangelize mobile application(s) internally and externally at the earliest stages of development.
  • Drive consumer centric prioritization in product development cycle planning.
  • Creatively leverage partnerships to create new organization value propositions
  • Key stakeholder for product development lifecycle, especially pertaining to product UI/UX
  • Integrally lead and evolve media, client and customer partnerships to drive effective product launch strategies.
  • Develop, lead and grow lean, but highly capable Marketing team in order to grow and scale business.
  • Comfortable with analytical approaches to evaluating success and capable of blending quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Assess and provide feedback on new partnership opportunities.
  • Evangelize best in class marketing strategies to ensure success in a rapidly maturing market landscape.
  • Be the voice of the consumer to inform feature and application decisions.
  • Work with a global viewpoint that moves beyond the US to incorporate market opportunities and consumer expectations across the globe.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 12+ years of consumer marketing experience including two or more years of experience in mobile application start-up environments.
  • Demonstrated success working in a collaborative environment including partnership with product development leaders.
  • Experience building successful B-C brand(s) from conception to launch.
  • Experience managing and developing a team of mid to senior manager level contributors.
  • High-energy Marketing leader with ability to roll up his/her sleeves to grow business.
  • Highly effectively communication capabilities, with proven experience gaining executive buy-in
  • Diligent and resourceful, knowing how to ask the right questions that lead to the best outcome for the company.
  • Ability to present well-reasoned business strategies to both peers and C-level executives and skill at integrating feedback to ensure the best ideas go forward.
  • Comfort working across multiple projects with priorities that may shift rapidly at times in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Capable of packaging insights and strategies for handoff to partner teams for execution.
  • Passionate about consumer healthcare space and ability to assist undiagnosed patient populations.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
